Alloygator are the world leader in alloy wheel protection products. British made, out of ultra-tough nylon, and tested by MIRA, they are not a cheap stick-on product. Instead they sit just inside the wheel rim, protecting the edge of the wheel, and are locked in place both by tyre pressure and fitment.
They protect you wheels and close tyre edges from knocks and bumps, saving you hundreds in costly wheel repairs.
Individually replaceable should one be damaged beyond use in the line of duty and, with a choice of colours, you can opt for a understated blended look, or go mad with glow in the dark!
Alloygators are now available for wheels up to 24" - enough for nearly any OEM wheel on the market, and with UK Detailing's Alloygator Approved Installers guarantee you have total peace of mind in the product's function and form.
How much do they cost? - installation starts from just £140 - a fraction of the cost of repair for four wheels.
What size wheels do they fit? Sizes start at 13" and, with the new "Exclusive" range, can now fit up to 24" wheels - 2" larger than the largest OEM Range Rover wheel. Not sure what size your wheels are? - Look on the tyre wall. You should be able to find a set of 3 numbers such as 225/45/r15. The last number set is the wheel size, so in this example "r15", would be a wheel size (diameter) of 15".
I've heard they can come loose and damage the car . is this true? Don't believe everything you read on the internet. Alloygator sell over 75,000 units a year worldwide, many of these are to approved installers such as UK Detailing, but they are available to the general public also. The only way an Alloygator could cause damage is through incorrect installation by an untrained individual, the same as if a brake or other car part was incorrectly installed. As long as the tyre is correctly inflated and they are checked for damage after a knock, you can rest assured there is no possibility of damage to a vehicle.
What colours are available? There are 15 colours, plus glow in the dark available. if you want to see what would look good with your wheels and car colour, try the colour selector on Alloygators website HERE
I had some fitted previously, can you install a single replacement? Yes absolutely. We may have to order in if it's an odd colour, but just give us a call.
What happens when I need to change the tyre? Most tyre fitters can install tyres with Alloygators fitted. If not though, they can remove the Alloygator with tyre off and they can be refitted with new tabs. Having Alloygators fitted also reduces the chance of tyre machine damage to the rims.
Will they affect my insurance? As they are not a permanently fitted product they are extremely unlikely to affect your insurance, however if you are particularly concerned we would advise you to have the conversation.
